INCREASED STIFFNESS - ROCHCOAT, ROCHFREEZE
Always willing to meet the requirements of its customers and the market trends, Cascades La Rochette is pleased to inform you that all cartonboard made on Machine N° 3 as from the 03/06/2013 will have higher stiffness characteristics.
Reconstruction and optimisation of the press section at the exit of the wet part of the board machine including the installation of a shoe press, reconstruction of a part of the pre and post dryer and refining optimisation enables us to offer a significant increase of stiffness on both the machine direction (MD) and the cross direction (CD) of our GC2 cartonboards Rochcoat and Rochfreeze in 230, 250, 275 and 300 g/m².
Cascades La Rochette is located in South East of France and produces 160.000t of FBB.
MARIO PLOURDE NEW CEO OF CASCADES
Alain Lemaire, in the company of his brothers Bernard and Laurent Lemaire, announced that he will be passing the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Cascades to Mario Plourde, now Chief Operating Officer of the company. The transfer has taken place on May 9, following a two-year transition period.
Alain Lemaire also indicated that he will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Bernard and Laurent will also remain active, continuing to serve on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, and participating in the company's strategic planning.
Mario Plourde stated : „Cascades’ success is based on a unique culture, fundamental values and especially the dedication and expertise of our employees, three elements that have enabled us to set ourselves apart for the past 50 years. I intend to uphold those values and will continue to work closely with all our employees to rise to the challenges that await us.“
Mario Plourde is Chief Operating Officer of Cascades and has been managing the company's operations since 2011. He works in close collaboration with the President and heads up the management team responsible for operations of the various business segments of the company's three major groups (Tissue Group, Containerboard Group and Specialty Products Group).
